Just in time for New Year`s Eve Nell`s Travel kitchen is publishing a festive cooking video honoring the French love of seafood for festive occasions. It´s customary to start festivities off with some oysters and then continue to platters of mussels, sea-snails, lobster, crab, prawns and so on. Dieppoise Sauce is a delicate yet rich sauce honoring all these ingredients and can be serve with poached fillets of White fish as a main course. Find the recipe here:  https://youtu.be/zfZ7zzp3D-E

The deep sea port of Dieppe in Normandy was founded on the mouth or the river Arques, one of the few rives deep enough to operate even at low tide. It has since become famous for its seafood and as a gateway to the UK. Every Saturday the main street becomes a vibrant and bustling local market selling everything from fruit, veg, bakery items, honey, jam, local produce, clothes, household goods and much more.

In summer the wide beach with it´s view of nearby cliffs and the beach huts make for an attractive hang out. There are also lots of activities on the promenade as well as food stalls, ice cream vans and rides. So come along and explore.
